About this course
Enjoy Japanese Picture Books Together! In this course, you’ll learn useful Japanese vocabulary and expressions through one picture book in each lesson. You can choose the learning style that works best for your family: * Parents who want to read Japanese picture books to their children * Parent and child learning together * Children joining the lesson on their own During the trial lesson, we’ll choose picture books together based on your child’s age, interests, and Japanese level. Picture books are a wonderful way to make Japanese a natural part of your family’s daily life. Together, we’ll create enjoyable opportunities to use Japanese at home and help your family build confidence through fun, meaningful conversations.
What you'll be able to do after this course
By the end of this course, you will be able to: * Enjoy simple conversations with your child in Japanese inspired by picture books. * Create fun and meaningful parent-child moments using Japanese in your daily life. * Understand and naturally read common vocabulary and expressions that frequently appear in Japanese picture books. * Use natural read-aloud phrases such as “Look!”, “What do you think will happen next?”, and “Which one do you like?” while reading with your child.
Syllabus (10 lessons)
色の絵本
色を表す日本語を使いながら、色を指さしたり質問したりして、絵本を楽しく読み聞かせができるようになる。
食べ物の絵本①
食べ物の名前や、「おいそそうだね」「どれが好き？」等の表現を使い、子どもとの会話を広げながら読み聞かせができるようになる。
形の絵本
形を表す言葉や比較表現（同じ・違う等）を使い、子どもに問いかけながら読み聞かせができるようになる。
乗り物の絵本
乗り物の名前や動きを表す表現を使い、「どこへ行くかな？」「何にのる？」等のやりとりをしながら読み聞かせができるようになる。
数字の絵本
数を数えたり、「いくつ？」と質問しながら、 読み聞かせができるようになる。
天気の絵本
天気に関する表現を使い、絵本の内容と日常生活を結び付けた会話を楽しみながら読み聞かせができるようになる。
身体の絵本
身体の名前や動作を表す言葉を使い、身体を動かす遊びを取り入れながら読み聞かせができるようになる。
食べ物の絵本②
「食べたい」「飲みたい」等の簡単な表現を使い、絵本からごっこ遊びへ発展させることができるようになる。
季節の絵本
レッスンの季節に合わせた絵本を使い（クリスマス、誕生日、お正月、 夏休み等）、「したことがある？」「何が好き？」等、自分の経験につなげた会話ができるようになる。
まとめ
絵本に合わせて自然な問いかけを使い、子どもと楽しくやりとりをしながら、自信を持って絵本の読み聞かせができるようになる。
