Courses are packages of ten 25-minute lessons. There is currently no discount for buying multiple courses.
They're valid for 1 year from the purchase date. Please use them within that period.
You can cancel a course partway through within its validity period. We refund the value of your unused lessons minus an administrative fee (20% of the unused value, capped at ¥5,000). See the Terms of Service for details.
A standard lesson is 25 minutes, one-on-one. Some teachers offer back-to-back slots.
You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before a lesson and rebook another time. Cancelling within 24 hours counts the lesson as used. For trial lessons, you get a full refund up to 30 minutes before the start, and a 50% refund between 30 minutes before and the start time.
If you're at least 24 hours before the lesson, please cancel and rebook.
Yes. If you find a teacher who's a good match, we recommend booking with them again.
A PC or tablet, a stable internet connection, and a camera/mic. A headset is recommended.
No. Beyond L's online room runs in your browser — no special app needed.
You can still join after the scheduled start time, but the lesson still ends on time — you'll just get less lesson time.
If your teacher hasn't joined within 10 minutes of the start time, that lesson won't be counted. For courses we restore the lesson so you can rebook; for trial lessons we refund you in full.
Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, Diners). Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
The payment confirmation email from Stripe can serve as your receipt. Contact us if you need it addressed to a company.
