About this course
This course is designed for parents of children aged 0–6 who are living in Japan or planning to move to Japan. It is taught by a certified Japanese language teacher and licensed childcare professional with hands-on experience in early childhood education. As a mother of two kindergarten-aged children, I share practical Japanese based on real-life parenting experiences. You’ll learn useful vocabulary and everyday phrases through common parenting situations, helping you communicate more confidently and make daily life in Japan easier. Let’s learn together and enjoy speaking Japanese!
What you'll be able to do after this course
Course Goal * Communicate confidently with teachers, other parents, and people in the local community while raising children in Japan, and enjoy daily life. * Understand common Japanese expressions used in parenting situations and carry on simple conversations by listening and responding appropriately. Can-do Statements By the end of this course, you will be able to: * Introduce yourself in Japanese. * Have simple conversations with your child’s teacher. * Explain when your child is feeling sick. * Describe your child’s symptoms at a hospital or clinic. * Learn about and enjoy seasonal events in Japan. * Praise your child in Japanese. * Scold your child in Japanese when necessary. * Read school and daycare notices. * Make friends with other parents. * Buy the things you need for your child. * Borrow and lend toys in Japanese. * Talk about your child’s likes and dislikes.

Syllabus (10 lessons)
自己紹介（初めて会った保護者に自己紹介をしよう！）
幼稚園や保育園、支援センター、公園等で初めて会った保護者に、自分と子供のことを紹介（名前、年齢、出身、兄弟）し、簡単な質問ができるようになる。
幼稚園・保育園の朝
子どもの体調や欠席の理由を先生に伝えたり、持ち物について質問できるようになる。
幼稚園・保育園のお迎え
今日の子どもの様子を先生に聞いたり、ママ達と簡単な雑談ができるようになる。
電車・バスででかけよう
駅やバス停で行き方を聞いたり、困った時に周りの人へ助けをお願いできるようになる。
スーパーでお買い物
欲しい商品を探したり、店員さんに質問したり、自分でスムーズに買い物をできるようになる。
レストランでごはんを食べよう
レストランを利用する時に人数を伝えたり、料理を注文したり、子供用のメニューや食器をお願いしたり、お会計までスムーズにできるようになる。
子どもの体調不良
病院の予約をしたり、子供の症状を説明できるようになる。
公園・児童館で話してみよう
公園や児童館で他のママパパと気軽に会話をしたり、子供同士のやりとりについてはなせるようになる。
こどもと日本語で話そう
日本語で子供をほめたり、叱ったりすることができるようになる
もっともっと話そう！
全１０回を通して学んできたことのまとめを行います。 これからもっと話せるようになりたいこと、日本の生活で知りたいこと等、 パパママに合わせてご希望の内容を行います。
