Not Just Passing the JLPT, but Japanese for Interviews
It's not just about passing the exam. Let's prepare for the interviews that follow.
About this course
Studying for the JLPT often leans towards memorizing grammar and vocabulary, but what many learners are actually aiming for is not just 'passing' but the opportunities for further education or employment that come afterward. In this course, we will cover grammar and vocabulary at the JLPT N3 to N2 levels while also practicing how to answer commonly asked interview questions, as well as how to convey self-promotion and motivation for applying. This course is designed for those who may not have the time to study for the exam and interview preparation separately, allowing you to efficiently develop both skills.
What you'll be able to do after this course
① Correctly use frequently occurring grammar and vocabulary at the JLPT N3 to N2 levels. ② Concisely introduce yourself and present your self-promotion in about 1 to 2 minutes. ③ Explain your motivation for applying with specific reasons. ④ Answer common interview questions (such as strengths and weaknesses, future goals) in your own words. ⑤ Appropriately differentiate between honorifics (respectful and humble language) in interview situations. ⑥ Ask relevant questions in response to reverse questions (e.g., 'Do you have any questions?'). ⑦ Practice speaking calmly, slowly, and clearly even in tense situations. Through these activities, we aim to transform your JLPT grammar knowledge into 'usable Japanese' so that you can speak confidently in the practical setting of an interview.
Recommended for
This course is designed for learners aiming to advance to Japanese schools or seeking employment or career changes in Japanese companies. It is suitable for those with a Japanese proficiency level equivalent to JLPT N3 to N2, who have made some progress in grammar studies but struggle with the issue of being able to pass exams yet not being able to speak effectively. It is particularly beneficial for those who have interviews for further education or employment in the next few months to half a year.
